Dental Care

As an independent living skills teacher, I teach quite a few classes on personal hygiene. I love the book, Personal Hygiene, What's that Got to Do ith me?  by Pat Crissey.  It is the main hygiene book I use at the beginning of the year.  When you live in an area that stays in the hundreds the first month of school, it is important to teach hygiene right away.  Here is a worksheet that I can use later in the year to reinforce the need to brush!
I took the information from a couple childrens dental health websites.  I also highlighted the answers in the lesson to make it easier for my students to find them.

  2. Toothbrushes specifically designed for babies are available. If you find it hard to get a toothbrush into your baby's mouth, you can use a clean flannel or cloth to wipe the teeth and gums clean instead. The important thing is to try & establish tooth cleaning as a regular thing after breakfast and before bedtime so that it becomes part of your child's daily routine.

  3. As soon as your child's teeth begin to touch, it's time to start flossing! Using plastic flossing tools can be very helpful when flossing with a little one.

  4. I agree. Teaching the children about the importance of having a good oral hygiene is certainly great. They are more attentive with keeping their mouth and teeth clean. Not to mention that it can turn into good habits that they would carry on as they grow. Cheers!

  6. The success and excellent durability of dental implants is dependent upon their ability to form direct contact with the surrounding jaw bone. This process is known as osseointegration and ensures that any prosthesis that is placed over the implant remains retained and stable, thereby restoring optimal functioning of the artificial tooth. best implantologist in dubai
