St. Patty's Treats

Monday is St. Patrick's Day sooooooo I made these cute little treats for my kiddos (and the office staff... shhhhh). I tried using a Rolo and a Kiss but finally decided on just a dollop of melted white chocolate to hold them all together. Super adorable and super easy to make!  Hope everyone has a great St. Patty's Day!

Don't forget to wear GREEN!!

Valentines Day

Tomorrow is Valentines Day and we have been talking all week about it. The kids are super excited! We (I say that loosely) put together these chocolate kiss roses throughout the day today (they were a little more difficult for them then I was hoping).  The kids will each have 5 roses to pass out to anyone they want tomorrow. It's going to take a lot of guts for some of my kids, especially my boys.  I am sure there will be a little encouraging, and we will probably start out with passing some out to the secretaries. We have been practicing saying "Happy Valentines Day" all week, so I just know they are going to do an amazing job.

Happy Valentines Day to you and your class!

Sweetheart Funsheet

Boy am I ready for this three day weekend!

I had all these plans of taking pics of the kids working on this Sweetheart funsheet next Friday so i could share it with you, but after thinking about, I figured that wouldn't give anyone else a chance to use it. So, here it is.  If you would like a copy they are FREE over at my TPT store.  Just follow the link below.  Enjoy your weekend!

A Classroom Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Between me and my aides we put together an amazing feast on Wednesday for the kids.  We had been working on table manners so this was a great way to end the lesson. The kids also learned how to make homemade cranberry sauce and pumpkin pies.
Next week is going to be very busy at school.  We are having a window decorating contest that I am so excited about! My class is making a hand print Christmas tree and also going to be elfing ourselves and turning it all into a North Pole theme! We have to have the window done by Friday for the judging.  I can't wait to see what it will look like all put together.  I will post pics when we have it completed!

Don't forget Teachers pay Teachers is having their cyber Monday and Tuesday sale this week.  I will have all my products at 20% off and TPT will add to that for a total of 28% off.  Be sure to use the code "cyber" when checking out. Hope you find everything you are looking for!

Groundhog Day Fun Pack

I hope everyone's new year is great so far.  We are back in school this week and all my kids had a wonderful holiday off.  Here is a fun pack to use with Groundhog Day coming up on February 2nd (which happens to fall on a Saturday this year).  My class will not likely finish the whole pack, but I think it will be fun to do a couple on the Friday before and one or two on the Monday after.  I have also included black and white images in the pack.  http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Groundhog-Day-Fun-Pack

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Here is a fun little packet I did for Martin Luther King day.  I added a link to the store where I found these cute graphics.  He does a great job!  Be sure to check out other products in his store.  Enjoy!

Paint Stir Snowmen

I found a cute american flag craft http://dreaming-n-color.blogspot.com/2011/05/paint-stick-flag.html last year made from paint stirrers. I sent a couple of our aides out to our local home improvement stores to see if they could get some given to them for free.  Little did I know how giving these stores would be with their paint stirrers.  They literally came back with hundreds.  Sooooo I found a few additional crafts to help us use them up throughout the year.  We made these cute snowmen today!   Here is the link:  http://funfamilycrafts.com/paint-stick-snowmen/

I still have oodles of stirrers left! I am still on the lookout for more ideas if anyone has any suggestions.

Columbus Day Activity Sheet

I have been working hard trying to get my October morning folders ready.  I love months where I can incorporate holidays in the activities, so this month is great!  Here is a worksheet to help celebrate Columbus Day on October 8th.  The answer to the cryptogram is "In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue".  All the math answers are 1492.  This will be our morning activity in our morning folders on that day.  I will post some of my other activities within the week.

Have a great weekend!

Thanksgiving Warm-Up

Going to take a break from warm ups now!  Here is the last one I will post for a little while.  I think this will give me enough to get to the end of the first semester.  Now on to other things.

Halloween Warm-Up

Here is another warm up worksheet.  Since we do a LOT of work with money, hopefully by Halloween we will have at least partially mastered counting my 5's and 10's.  I decided to throw some ABC order into the warm ups this year as well.  Enjoy!

December Warm Up

Here is another warm up sheet for December.  Though I don't teach math, spelling or letter recognition, I also don't want the students to lose the knowledge they already have.  Now, most of my students will require help in at least one or more areas of this worksheet, but they do enjoy doing them.
